Services

Lincostar can offer you a wide range of support and assistance in many fields of automotive engineering and manufacturing issues. Herewith is a list with some examples of services we can offer you: (please refer to the glossary for an explanation of the acronyms)

Design:
All design related matters, from scratch to final production parts. The matching with other parts, adaptation to new shape or purposes, resolving dragging quality issues by new design.

R&D Research and Development:
The pure basic research of very specific issues or new parts and accessories. Including know-how gathering, DOE, prototype building, testing, tuning and other activities to get a feasible design, ready for manufacturing.

Problem prevention.
Systematic deep investigation of existing parts, accessories, modules or complete vehicles to improve the quality and the customers satisfaction. Using audits, FMEA, CAE computer simulations, melt flow analysis, testing and other ways to detect potential issues in an early stage.

Problem resolving
Investigation of existing problems, using fishbone diagrams, Pareto, root cause analysis, G8D, 6Sigma and other tools. Measure, qualify and contain customers' complains.

Disaster relief:
Set-up and testing of emergency plans in case of major production break-down, delivery interruption or other calamities. Coordination of the emergency activities.

Benchmarking:
The systematic, goal oriented, tear-down and investigation of similar parts, design, process or know-how of the best-in-class competitors. The consequentially reverse engineering and design.

Lean-manufacturing:
Reorganise divisions or redesign certain parts to reduce the manufacturing costs or to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of a design, a division or a process.

International standards compliance:
All necessary actions to adapt a division, a car, a part or a process to ISO/TS 16949, EURO4 or other international standards.

Training:
Customer-oriented coaching, guidance, coordination, surveillance, training of employees. Improve the level of awareness of foremen and supervisors. Teamwork and teambuilding activities. Real on-site implementation of TQM, the deeply integrated quality management.

Supplier Management:
The guidance or surveillance of strategic suppliers to safeguard the quality level or JIT delivery. Pre-contract audits of potential suppliers to investigate their reliability.

Supply Chain Management:
Organisation and co-ordination of the whole flow of materials from the suppliers to the assembly plant to the end-customer. Design, testing and introduction of new packaging and logistics systems. Reduction of the inventory, improve the delivery reliability.

Project Management:
The cradle to grave organisation and co-ordination of the production launch of new (sets of-)parts, modules or whole cars. The activities could include: quotation, CAD design, styling, CAE and computer simulations, know-how gathering, benchmarking, tear down, DOE, FMEA reliability investigation, testing, prototype build, production preparation and coordination, tool design and manufacturing, specify the equipment and machines, co-ordinate with purchase, quality assurance divisions, G8D, 6 Sigma, etc. Using RASIC as a tool for project management and follow-up.

Vision
A contribution to a more efficient and broad vision of the management team about various specific issues. Implementation of BOS/QOS or other tools to improve the overall competitiveness.

All these services include for clear reporting, follow-up and status survey.
