Brief description of the project |
These prefabricated electrical conductors were made in copper, insulated with high filler content epoxy resin. Most of the connections were between huge transformers and switchboards. Most applications in petrochemical pants, nuclear or lignite power plants, oil drilling planforms, paper mils, etc.
The product was intended for special high performance industrial applications. No serial production, almost all parts were tailor made, adapted to the shape and requirements of the client.
After engineering and design, the parts were made in lengths of max 4 m with all the corner- and connection pieces, all the supports and protection devices and tools, packed into containers and shipped to the site. On site, the elements were fitted together and connected by local workforce.
As a project manager, I had the full financial and technical responsibility for the projects, including the design and engineering, the coordination with the client and all the activities on site.
The product was a typical niche-product, highly technical specialised, requiring an intensive coordination and training of the agents and distributors all over the world. I was in charge for all the communication with the local agents.
